Stefmade is a company that creates items for babies and toddlers. From our consultations we narrowed down the brand adjectives to be cute, classic, and chic. The end result is a sewn patch that says playful and handcrafted. The soft colors round out that feeling. I put the heart there as a cute, personal touch. Whatever it can be interpreted as is a good thing such as putting a lot of heart into the work or that the owner loves what she does.
Illuminae is a wedding cinematography company. They set themselves apart by creating a unique film for each of their couples that are intimate, personal and meaningful. I wanted to communicate those emotions through their logo and business cards. As weddings are elegant and timeless affairs, I choose a thin sans-serif typeface for the logo and a serif typeface for the business cards.
Stella Mack is a company that designs cute, modern stationery. This is an abstract shape that resembles a heart at first glance. It also happens to be a combination of ‘s’ and ‘m’, but that isn’t meant to be obvious. The sans serif typeface completes the look, giving it a modern feel.
Understory is a production company that has a passion for telling stories through film. They strive for a human connection by telling stories that are deeper than just surface level. I liked the idea of using the ‘R’ to represent digging deeper to find meaningful stories to tell.
